I AM Murehwa proudly joined I AM Zimbabwe in November 2019. We have 20 active members. Murehwa is situated in Mashonaland East about 87Km from Harare. We are in a rural area, full of mountains.
Our aim is to empower our youth and to provide as many activities as possible that can act as a deterrent from social ills such as drug abuse and prostitution. We are currently focused on the development of a nutritional program through gardening, where we grow mushrooms and other vegetables. We use our produce to help feed the elders in our community.
Additional activities that our youth participate in include playing on our volleyball and soccer teams, as well as assisting in the ongoing construction of a nearby school for our children who currently have to walk 5km to get to lessons.
